Rolex Oyster Ref. 6552 - "Very good" condition - "Super precision" - Beautiful Patina

This Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air-King, reference 6552, has a dial that has aged to a warm cream patina, with applied baton markers, the applied Rolex crown and the “Super Precision” signature, and is offered in very good condition. The luminous inserts of the markers have toned with the dial. The steel case with smooth bezel sits on a steel Oyster bracelet.

Rolex introduced the Air-King name in the 1940s in honour of the pilots of the Royal Air Force, and the 6552 is one of the Oyster Perpetual Air-Kings of the 1950s. It joins the screw-down Oyster case with the self-winding Perpetual rotor, the two inventions behind Rolex's everyday watches, and keeps the dial to hours, minutes and seconds.
