Rolex Daytona Ref. 6262 - "Very good" condition - Outstanding Paul Newman dial

This Rolex Daytona, reference 6262, comes in steel with a Paul Newman dial: cream-white with black subdials, a black outer minute track and the Daytona lettering in red. It is offered in very good condition on a steel bracelet.

The 6262 was made for only a few years around 1970. It has an engraved steel tachymeter bezel, pump pushers that do not screw down and a 37 mm case housing the hand-wound chronograph calibre 727. The Paul Newman dial, with its Art Deco numerals and square markers in the subdials, takes its name from the actor who wore one and is the best-known dial variant of the vintage Daytona.
